When the Emory Center for AI Learning prepared to launch in 2023, its leadership set out to position the Center as a leading voice in artificial intelligence research and education within the broader ecosystem of Emory University.
The Center partnered with Lucie Content to develop a strategic storytelling approach that could translate complex AI research into clear, accessible narratives for audiences beyond academia — including prospective students, donors, collaborators, and community partners.
The objective was to:
Lucie Content worked alongside the Center’s emerging communications team to design and produce a structured video storytelling initiative focused on accessibility and clarity.
Rather than presenting AI as an abstract or technical discipline, the strategy focused on human-centered storytelling — highlighting the people, partnerships, and practical applications driving innovation across the Center.
Across the summer and fall of 2023, Lucie Content developed and produced a series of video assets including:
Through interviews with faculty, students, and collaborators, the production focused on translating complex research into narratives that could resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
The result was a scalable video content system designed for deployment across the Center’s website, presentations, and digital channels.
The video content created by Lucie Content now serves as foundational storytelling material across the Center’s digital platforms and communications initiatives.
By translating complex research into accessible narratives, the project helped establish the Center’s identity within the broader artificial intelligence research community while strengthening engagement with academic and community partners.
Key outcomes included producing a 10-video storytelling series during a 14-month launch campaign spanning 2023–2024, capturing 30 faculty, student, and partner interviews over a 12-month production period, and activating three primary distribution channels across the Center’s website and social platforms during launch.
Together, these assets positioned the Emory Center for AI Learning as an emerging voice in the practical and ethical application of artificial intelligence within higher education.
