The Ask

When the Emory Center for AI Learning was preparing to launch in 2023, they had a bold vision: to establish the department as a leading voice in artificial intelligence research and education on both national and global stages. The Emory team engaged Lucie Content to develop a strategic communications approach that would help them achieve these goals and be understood by audiences beyond their own community.

The Strategy

Working alongside Emory’s developing internal communications team, we managed the creation of a comprehensive video content strategy. We set out to do more than simply tell their story – our mission was to bring their message to life in a way that could be understood by anyone, regardless of their familiarity with AI. Our production team developed and executed plans for multiple video pieces, including a main overview and introduction-style video showcasing the Center’s mission and vision, alongside a series of focused testimonial videos featuring students, faculty, staff, and community partners. Throughout summer and fall 2023, we successfully captured the Center’s message and illuminated the human side of AI innovation to show the real-world, tangible impact of the Center’s work.

The Impact

Our partnership brought impressive results. The video content we created now serves as cornerstone material across their website and social media platforms. This strategic storytelling approach has helped the Center to encourage new collaborations between academic departments, attract student and faculty engagement, and build valuable community partnerships. Most importantly, the content has played a crucial role in establishing the Center’s credibility among donors, partners, and peer institutions, positioning them as an emerging leader in the practical and ethical use of AI and education.
